Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to make a reservation for the Petting Zoo? (If so, how many days in advance?)
There are limited amount of Petting Zoo encounters offered each day. To ensure availability we suggest booking at least 24 hours in advance.
Is there an age requirement/minimum for the Petting Zoo?
There is no age requirement for the Petting Zoo.
Minors that are not with a legal guardian will not be admitted without a signed and notarized Child Care Form located at Guest Relations.
What should I wear for the Petting Zoo?
Comfortable clothing that you can move around easily in! The ground in animal habitats is mostly sand so closed toed shoes are best.
Where should I arrive for my Petting Zoo? Where do I meet my trainer?
We ask you arrive to the Guest Relations Office 10 minutes before your scheduled encounter. Your trainer will pick you up from the Guest Relations Office and take you to the encounter.
Will there be a photographer in the Petting Zoo?
Yes, a professional photographer will be present.
Can I take my own pictures during the encounter?
Yes, you may take your own pictures. However, we suggest putting down your phone and enjoying your time with the animals. Don’t worry, the photographer will capture all the magical moments!
What are Jungle Island’s inclement weather protocols?
Rain is inevitable here in Miami! During light periods of rain encounters are able to continue. Should lightning strike within 10 miles of Jungle Island all encounters must stop. The option to rebook your encounter is available in certain circumstances.
What is your cancellation policy?
For a full refund, cancellations must be done a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Same day purchased encounters are non-refundable
What animals are in the Petting Zoo Encounter?
Goats, pigs and budgie feeding aviary.
Do you accept walk-ins? Or reservations only?
There are a limited number of encounters available per day. Walk ups are accepted but in order to ensure an available time it is best to book in advance.
Do I get to touch all of the animals?
Yes, you will have the chance to pet and interact with all of the animals in the Petting Zoo Encounter
